Part Time Shift

We had another late night meeting to tell the part-time news readers they will no longer be doing the Sunday through Thursday shows. Because we are short-staffed we will still use some of them on the midnight show and on weekends.
They weren't happy, but most understood that we are trying to emphasize the full time, professional journalists who also take part in gathering the news and writing the shows. We hope that some of these news readers will join us in the training classes and become full time reporters and subsitute anchors. One young man actually showed up at the training the next day. But others, such as a nursery school teacher, are reluctant to give up their other jobs.

From reading your materials in the blog I beleive that u have little knowlege of TVM. TVM staffs are leaving TVM beacause they want to improve their field. VTV or other stations didn't ask them to. They joined them willingly. And they left TVM for good. Before criticising someone please know the history. And some information that you were given was wrong,,, kind of misleading... Regarding our national dress as Maldivians we are proud of our National dress. And in primetime news it really was beautiful as it showed that we are Maldivains. Being Muslims we have to wear Burugaa eventhough it shows Bulky on TV. Anyway hope you have a great time and bring Best days for TVM. By the way Shifla Ibrahim is much senior and deeply accepted by the public than Heena Waleed ,, why aren;t we seeing her on 8:00 news.
