Most of the time there is a TV or radio van to help us shuttle back and forth between the two stations and the hotel. But when no van was available I almost got a chance to travel by the most popular form of transportation in Male... motorcycle. I didn't actually have to make the trip because a van showed up as soon as I got on.
Taxis, by the way, are only 20 rufiyaa, less than two bucks, to anywhere on the island. But the folks at both stations are such gracious hosts that they insist on providing a van and I really appreciate it!
