The TV Maldives crew is engaging in a time-honored broadcast news tradition: checking out the competition. The first private TV station, DhiTV, went on the air last month. Their newscasts pretty much what you would expect from a startup. But everyone here realizes that viewers now have a choice for election coverage and other current affairs programming.
