A new face in the Male newsroom is Hassan Ziyau, who was one of the atoll reporters during my last visit. He has impressed me with his energy and eagerness to get to the heart of the top stories. The new batch of atoll newscasters arrives next week and I can hardly wait to meet them. With the election switching into high gear we can't get them on the air fast enough! At the moment only seven of the 20 atoll bueaus have reporters and one of them has been MIA since her marriage to a Voice of Maldives radio reporter!

Hard Working Reporter
