Counting Appearances

Under the access to state media agreement with all the political parties, TVM news is required to count the number of appearances by each candidate on news programs. This is to assure that there will be fairness during the "campaign time" which is required to be at least 30 days and hasn't started yet. But we want to be ready.
Siyaad, the IT director at TVM, hired a bright young programmer to come up with an application to log candidate appearances. Now we have to train the administrative staff in how to input the data. I am so impressed by the IT department and its can-do attitude. They even come to my rescue every morning when the construction crews in the newsroom have disconnected the wifi again!
