Through my Stanford Daily colleague Williamson Evers, I connected with the amazing Catherine Day, who is on maternity leave from her British government post. She has done important civil society development work in Iraq and Afghanistan and truly understands the media training needs of emerging democracies. I learned so much from her analysis of radio and TV outlets in Kabul and elsewhere in Afghanistan.
