Smiling Shifla

This is a smile that lights up the room. Shifla is one of TVM's most popular presenters. She's just back from covering a tourism fair in Switzerland where the Maldives was promoting its sumptuous resorts as a getaway for Europeans. Like all the newscasters, she reports, anchors, produces and can function as a one-person band.
I've been staying up at night to review airchecks of all the talent, trying to figure out the new anchor lineup. Not difficult in English, but more challenging in a language that I don't speak so I rely on feedback from the GM and ND.
This will be an easy choice. Shifla will be the morning anchor because, as one manager told me, people like her.
